Return and Refund Policy

Our Return and Refund policy:

At Howard Instruments we believe in the quality of our products and the service we provide which is why we are pleased to offer our customers a 

“30 Day Money Back Guarantee” 

We will refund you if:

* The product was not correct for your vehicle

You will be offered a refund (less $20 restocking charge, and return freight) if you return the product to us within 30 days of the invoice date in its original packaging. The part must NOT have been installed or tampered with upon return. 

In a case where we have sent you the incorrect product, we will pay for the return freight as well as refund you 100% of the purchase price when we receive your returned product. 

If you have ordered the incorrect part, you agree to bare the cost of the return freight however we will refund you the cost of your original purchase price when we receive the returned product, less restocking fees.

We will deal with product issues in accordance with the consumer guarantees contained in the Australian Consumer Law. 

In summary

A business can only refuse to give you a free replacement or refund if:

• you simply changed your mind
• you misused the product or service in a way that contributed to the problem
• you asked for a service to be done in a certain way against the advice of the business, or were unclear about what you wanted
• a problem with a service was completely outside of the control of the business.

You are not entitled to a refund immediately if the problem is minor and can be fixed easily in a reasonable time.

You must give us an opportunity to solve the problem and treat us and the manufacturer in a reasonable manner. 

Please remember that Smiths Products are sourced from Wales in the UK necessitating longer communication and procurement times.
